Pneuma Games Group just kicked off something new. They’re calling it Cast Iron Games, and the whole thing is happening in this place called Tileyard North, which is in Wakefield. Kind of makes you wonder why there. But hey, they’re all about big-deal co-development and porting games—a fancy way of saying they’re making video games work on different systems, I guess.
Anyway, Arden Aspinall and Jon Seymour are running the show. They’ve done their time at places like TickTock (not the one you’re probably thinking of), Rebellion, and Double Eleven. I mean, that’s a pedigree, right? Apparently, Cast Iron is like a sibling to Double Eleven. Family business vibes, maybe?
Aspinall had something to say, naturally. He wants the company to live up to its ‘Cast Iron’ name—steady and reliable, like your grandma’s old skillet, if I’m reading between the lines right. He’s got a soft spot for how Lee (someone from Double Eleven, I assume) and his team did their thing. Principles and synergy—words we all love to throw around but, do we even know what they mean? It’s about being dependable and making lasting connections, or so they say.
Seymour jumped in, too. He’s all about the team atmosphere—built it up like it’s the most important thing. ‘Talented people aligning like stars’ or something poetic like that. Gives them the juice to really dive deep into their work. Making creative dreams happen for clients, which sounds legit when said with enough enthusiasm. But seriously, it’s about creating that place where everyone’s on the same page—or trying to be, anyway. Sounds like a plan, doesn’t it?
