Sure, let’s give this a whirl:

Hold up, folks. So, this game, Last Epoch, right? Just dropped some news that’ll—well, if you’re into this sort of stuff—probably get you hyped. They’re throwing in this thing called Assassinate mode for minions. Yep, you heard it here… or maybe you read it. Whichever. This is gonna hit with the next season, alongside a laundry list of other tweaks they tossed onto their official forum. Couldn’t tell you why I ended up reading it. But it’s stuck in my head now.
Here’s a thought – Last Epoch, that action RPG they popped out in ’24? Time travel, dungeons, more character jazz than you can shake a stick at. Makes for some decent replay value if you’re into that sort of thing. Five classes to juggle, plus all these masteries… really customizes the gameplay. I got sidetracked by that tidbit. Anyway, Tombs of the Erased season, it’s a thing they did. Came around in April, with new zones and all that jazz. But next season? Yeah, it’s nearly here, and we’ve got the devs spilling the beans on more changes.
So about this Assassinate mode—maybe it’s meant for folks who like their minions way out there, picking off those rare baddies and bosses. I mean, maybe. Or it might’ve been the flickering light above my head distracting me. Who knows. Apparently, if you’re not feeling the distance, there’s still the Protect mode to keep minions cozy-like, sticking to you like glue. Look for icons: two swords mean assassinate, a shield means protect. Straightforward, right? Or maybe it’s not. And check this, they’re tweaking how minions choose targets. No more random bouncing around. Neat, maybe?
Also, if you’re a Beastmaster player, hooray, ‘cause they’re giving you new nodes for your Raptor and Scorpion buddies and what-not. And offline mode cosmetics? Yeah, finally happening. I guess you just need to tiptoe online once. Then, magic. Outfit your characters offline. Why this took so long, I couldn’t tell you.
Oh, man, August 21 is when they flick the switch for Season 3. The Merchants’ Guild is shaking things up too – new shopping filters and tokens. Less fuss, less muss with items. Or maybe I’m just dreaming. Anyway—or was it meanwhile? No idea—this is all to make things juicier for Last Epoch players, or so they say. Let’s hope it works, huh?
Catch you on the flip side.
