Honestly, I could ramble on about this deal forever but the main takeaway? You might wanna snag it quickly. Seriously, it’s only till August 14, and somehow, 2:59 a.m. ET sounds too early for decision-making. But hey, who am I to tell you what time to shop?
Anyway, this game—it’s all about Zack Fair. I mean, he’s kind of a big deal in this universe. There’s something about following some dude who’s admired by this would-be world savior and is smitten with a girl who literally has the planet’s future in her hands. It’s a whole saga with Zack’s dreams, honor, and that connection to Cloud we all obsess over. Makes you think, right?
And oh, the visuals! Total facelift with HD. New 3D models, and guess what? The soundtrack got a revamp thanks to Takeharu Ishimoto—the original composer. Gotta love it when they keep things in the family.
So here’s the thing, when this reunion edition hit the scene in 2022, folks were pretty jazzed about it. Critics seemed to like it too—Metacritic slapped a 78 on it after, like, 81 reviews.
