I dunno, there’s just something about figuring out which Pokémon is gonna be the best in a fight, right? Except, well, in Pokémon GO, that whole process gets kinda… weird? They took out a bunch of stuff like abilities and items, probably to make it easy for like, everyone and their grandma to play on the move. But man, poor Accelgor loses its cool stuff with this. I mean, maybe they could spice it up a bit, but who am I to say?
And oh, check this out:
So, ya know those speedy Pokémon? They’re supposed to zip around and get the first hit in battles. Turns out Speed might not be the most crucial thing ever (like, if your attacks are weak, who cares if you go first?). But it’s fun! Pokémon like Accelgor miss their speed badge here. Imagine if GO could give ’em back that edge somehow. Just saying.
Okay, imagine this: Pokémon GO using Speed in battle. I mean, it’s real-time! So, maybe they could let speedy ones charge moves faster, or blast attacks quicker or something. Just spitballing here!
Also, since Pokémon GO is about walking (ugh, who loves walking?), maybe faster Pokémon could help you get Candy quicker. Like, “Hey, you don’t need to walk as far with me!” Same for hatching Eggs, maybe.
Oh, and the thought popped in my head:
Remember Speed Forme Deoxys? If Speed became a thing, it’d probably own everyone with its crazy-fast stats. At least in some crazy, hypothetical world, right?
Introducing Speed wouldn’t be super easy-peasy, though. It could totally shake stuff up! They’ve changed things before with Mega Evolution and stuff. Why not throw Speed in the mix? Odds are, they aren’t thinking of it at all… yet.
Anyway, that’s my ramble. Might not be a big deal now, but hey, giving some Pokémon their sparkle back sounds kinda nice, doesn’t it?
Oh! And don’t forget — Pokémon GO is still kicking, like since 2016. They keep adding cool stuff, so who knows what might come next?
