So, yeah, let me tell you about inZOI. This life sim game? Total vibe shift happening. Krafton just put it out there, no teasing — we’re getting some DLC called Island Getaway. And it’s free! Seriously, you just grab it if you own the game.
Oh, and guess what? inZOI is expanding its horizons. Yes, my Mac-loving friends, it’s finally coming to your devices too. Been waiting, haven’t you?
Now, mark your calendars for August 20. That’s when Island Getaway is hitting the scene. They spilled the beans after gamescom Opening Night Live on the 19th. Honestly thought they’d keep it secret longer. Nope. Surprise ruined, kinda.
This DLC is bringing a new map called Cahaya. Picture two islands, super chill, with this Southeast Asian vibe. I mean, we’re talking swimming, snorkeling — the works. If you’re feeling more hands-on, there’s farming. Fashionistas, rejoice — tropical outfits, decorations, hairstyles! (Who thought I’d care about pixel fashion? But here we are.)
Check out the pic — doesn’t it scream tropical paradise? inZOI Studio, you know what you’re doing. Anyway. Back to the game. This is more than just a map. The update lets you indulge in farming, fishing, mining, gem crafting — you get where I’m going. Oh, and electric scooters and motorcycles for the speed demons among you.
They didn’t stop there. Character interactions are getting a makeover. There’s this thing with random gatherings and thought bubbles. I guess it helps create those “Oh wow, did that just happen?” moments. Cooperative actions too, whatever that means. Could be fun, could be awkward — who knows until we try it?
Quality of life updates — those are happening too. UI tweaks, 90 (!!!) new music tracks, and an early version of gamepad support. It’s not perfect but, hey, baby steps.
Oh, did I mention the Mac release again? Steam and App Store. Starting August 20. Finally.
