If you can’t get enough of what I’d say is Oblivion’s top faction questline—seriously, it’s a blast—Oblivion Remastered has your back. One mod brings in this wild radiant contract system for the Dark Brotherhood. We’re talking 100 new people to take down, over and over, if you’re into that whole Black Hand vibe. Sounds like a lot? Maybe. But hey, who am I to judge?
So here’s the deal, you get to be a hunter—not the prey as often happens when you snag some of those other mods flitting around in this remaster world.
Oh, quick note before I forget—this mod’s called ‘Dark Brotherhood – Infinitum’ by ColdTyrant. You know they’re into adding extra quests like joining the Mythic Dawn or getting chummy with necromancy. Still sticking with that evil theme, I see. Anyway—wait, no—just to continue, this mod slaps in 100 novel contracts for the Dark Brotherhood that you can keep spinning through whenever you feel like cashing in or causing a ruckus. Don’t worry, the base questline remains pristine, untouched, vintage.
Now, these new kills are against random NPCs named things like ‘Diligent Father’. Yeah, you’re welcome—for not depopulating all of Cyrodiil. You’ll snag them at the Cheydinhal Sanctuary. Oh, and guess what? You get missions and rewards from Creeper the scamp, a deeply weird Morrowind merchant they brought in. Nostalgia much?
Here’s the eyebrow moment: beyond the 500 gold per contract, you snag two “Dark Tokens” for Creeper’s Reward gacha Roulette. Yes, it’s a gacha wheel! Toss your tokens for a shot at random goodies—could be weapons, armor, arrows, jewels, potions, scrolls. Absolute chaos. Finally, a game that thrills both me and my brave co-writers dealing with way more gacha than I’d ever handle.
So, if you’re feeling lucky or just want to dive into some chaos, grab the needed stuff: Oblivion Remastered’s UE4SS and the TesSyncMapInjector.
Happy Oblivigachaing! And hey, don’t miss out on our Oblivion Remastered mod coverage. We even interviewed the modder who scored that first tweak a day post-release. Wild, right?
