Sure, here it is:
Okay, so here’s the thing. I wasn’t expecting Elden Ring Nightreign to drop an update this week. Like, at all. But surprise, surprise, they did. Didn’t even have any downtime for it. Just, boom, update 1.01.4 is here. Didn’t expect that, did you? Well, now you gotta update your game if you wanna hang out and matchmake and all that fun stuff.
This update is another one of those little ones – like, remember 1.01.3? Yeah, that one from June? It’s kinda like that. But they’re actually important fixes, especially if you’re like most players.
Oh, and here’s something new (sort of) for ya: they’ve added this thing where you can see the weapon type in the Armament Information menu. Why? Maybe to help us quickly figure out which weapon we’re lugging around or picking up. Handy, right? Especially if you need to decide which weapon to keep for specific buffs.
Most of the patch is bug fixes, though. And some of these bugs, honestly, were just waiting to ruin your day. Like, if your teammates join and leave at the same time… matchmaking would just give up on you. Yeah, that mess is fixed now.
They’ve also tackled stuff with gestures and achievements. But here’s the kicker: you gotta meet those requirements again to unlock them. Didn’t see that in the patch notes, but it’s probably there to pave the way for the Sentient Pest Nightlord’s rise to Everdark Sovereign. Expect that craziness soon.
Speaking of craziness, Nightreign is upping the game with tougher Nightlords. Now they’ve got these souped-up bosses, Everdark Sovereigns. Fun, eh? Only the brave souls who beat their regular versions get to face them.
These Everdark Sovereign Gaping Jaws and Everdark Sovereign Darkdrift Knight have new moves. Sneaky ones, too, to trip up players who thought they knew what was coming.
Anyway, or maybe not – what was I saying? Ah yes, the update log! Here it is:
- Weapon Type’s now in the Armament Info menu.
- Fixed matchmaking going haywire if two players left together.
- Fixed issues with “It’s Raining!” gesture in Multiplayer. Re-do those conditions if necessary.
- Fixed playable characters coming back from near-death when they shouldn’t.
- Background music wasn’t playing right at some shrine and now it is.
- Fixed some silly achievement-related bugs. Doing ‘em again will help.
