Alright, so here’s the thing: I’m just chilling one day, scrolling through the interwebs, and bam! Everyone in Japan with a Nintendo Switch 2 is like, “Help! It’s on fire!” Not literally, but you get it. Overheating drama while playing games, whether it’s something beefy like Cyberpunk 2077 or just Pokémon or Splatoon. Go figure.
So these folks, they’re shouting out on X — yeah, that place — machine-translating their woes. Apparently, the fans are doing their own thing, buzzing like mad bees trying to chill the thing down. Some bloke playing Rune Factory was like, “Fan madness, must be overheating.”
Now, whether they’re rocking the thing in dock mode or going handheld, it’s chaos. Like, one person said Cyberpunk 2077 bailed on them five times, with fans going berserk. Someone else? Couldn’t even hold the thing. Too hot. Yikes!
Oh, before I forget, beyond Japan, there’s chatter on Facebook and Reddit. All like, “Mine’s feeling toasty too!” Real warm, too warm. One guy’s Switch told him, “Yo, I’m hitting nap mode, too hot here.”
Nintendo? Oh, they’ve tossed out the usual “wisdom.” Turn it off, let it cool. Shift to a breezy spot. Clear the vents, yadda yadda. If that doesn’t work, yay… send it in for repairs. Joy.
Is it a big deal? Kinda? Not everyone’s flipping out. My Switch 2, during some random temp-check, was like, “117 F docked, 102 F handheld.” Felt like a mini-heater. Nice.
Despite all this, the Switch 2 is killing it sales-wise. Everyone wants it. Even Nintendo’s big guy had to go, “Oops, sorry for not having enough.” But oh, there’s more drama. Some users got zapped online for using those Mig Flash drives, even if they owned the ROMs. Drama, drama, drama.
So yeah. Fun times in the gaming world. Anyway, catch you on the flip side. Or not. Whatever.
