Weekly Famitsu’s got this review thing going for “Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.” You know, it’s that new game by LEVEL-5 that’s been buzzing around for the Nintendo Switch. Honestly, I didn’t even know what to expect. So, imagine my face when I saw they gave it a whopping 36 out of 40. And yep, if you’re wondering, that’s like four reviewers each dropping a solid 9. Not too shabby, right?
Anyway, this game… it’s kinda got this twisty story. You’re starting off on Mysteria Island. Sounds all mysterious or whatever. It’s ruined though, but that’s just setting you up for this crazy time-travel adventure. I guess you’re supposed to build a whole city or something. Like, just pick a Life – I guess that’s like a job or role or something – and roll with it. Seems like a sweet gig, making friends and crafting stuff. All very cozy.
LEVEL-5 threw out some major deets about what you can do. Fix up your avatar, change your face, hair – maybe they thought we all needed a digital makeover. Could be true! Plus, every Life brings something new to the table. Basically, these Lives are like jobs, each with its own flavor. Imagine switching gigs every five minutes – sounds hectic but fun?
Now, get this: Shape the island! Like literally change it. You’re gathering resources a whole millennium back to fix it up now. Sounds like a Minecraft trip or something. And don’t even get me started on the multiplayer. Grab three pals and cause mayhem on your island. The opportunities? Infinite or something like that.
Also, time travel alert! You stumble upon these spooky “Strangelings.” Ghosty vibes, maybe they were people? Kinda eerie, but it’s on you to figure things out. Solve mysteries, go at your own pace. No rush. Unless, of course, danger pops up – mixed feelings on that one!
So there you have it. Your free-spirited, slightly chaotic virtual life awaits. Release date’s set for 21 May 2025 on the Nintendo eShop. They even teased a Nintendo Switch 2 edition. But who knows when that’s dropping. Can’t wait, if I remember.
