So, NVIDIA’s up to something, huh? They’re not releasing the RTX 5060 driver until May 19. I mean, it’s like they’re hiding something. Weird, right? Or maybe it’s just me being suspicious — who knows.
The RTX 5060 is officially out in like 11 days, right alongside its big brother, the 5060 Ti. But here’s the thing: something’s fishy with this GPU’s performance. It’s like NVIDIA doesn’t want gamers to know what’s up until they’ve already bought the thing. It makes zero sense unless there’s some secret?
Igor’s Lab, bless ‘em, is saying that NVIDIA’s not dropping the driver until launch day, same day they’re showing it off at Computex. Seriously though, if you’re thinking of snapping it up on day one, you might be flying blind. How’s anyone supposed to review it without a driver anyway? Guess I’m no tech guru, but come on.
Here’s a kicker (or maybe a side note): a lot of the tech crowd will be glued to Computex, checking out all the shiny new stuff. So, yeah, chances of them running back to test this new toy are slim to none.😂 Hardware Unboxed is on the same page. They have a few RTX 5060 review samples but — surprise, surprise — nada on publishing without the driver. Great strategy, NVIDIA, or not. 🙄
There’s this tweet from Hardware Unboxed that just nails it. Gives you the vibe that they’re holding back for some trade show drama, eh? It’s like everyone is in Taiwan getting their gadget fix and here’s NVIDIA sneaking things by.
So, gamers, don’t hold your breath for juicy reviews with actual numbers until you’ve maybe already bought the thing. NVIDIA claims these fancy 25% raster boost numbers but, are they real? Only when more folks try it out, we’ll know. The RTX 5060 sticks with 8 GB VRAM, which is… well… kinda outdated by 2025 standards. That’s probably why its cousin, the 5060 Ti flopped hard. Old news for intense games, really.
There we have it — or actually, we’re missing it until the driver shows up somehow magically on the day. Oh, tech world, never change.
