Sure thing, here we go:

Okay, so, Resident Evil Requiem, right? Everyone’s been buzzing about June’s Capcom Spotlight thing. We got some glimpses of this new horror game, but honestly, it wasn’t the big gameplay showdown I kind of hoped for. Yeah, we got a peek but, meh, not mind-blowing.
So, Capcom? They’ve taken the sequel on a funky little route. Why? Well, they sorta explained that, but did we get it all? Not really? Anyway, let me try to piece this together.
Oh, and there was this bit where they did a Creators’ Message kind of video — think developer diary, but with fewer thrills and more chatter. Yeah, sure, some gameplay was sprinkled in there, sandwiched between the devs chatting away.
A couple of interesting tidbits popped up, though. Especially about our main gal, Grace. Turns out she’s tied to the Ashcroft family from the Resident Evil Outbreak series. So, this whole Requiem gig is breaking away from Winters family’s saga. Time to dig into Raccoon City’s mess again, right? And hey, 30 years of this franchise, which feels kind of fitting or something.
Quirky move, but Leon Kennedy’s not the main dude this time. Why not, you ask? Well, they needed someone who gets spooked easier. Poor Leon’s too chill for that. Grace Ashcroft, she fills those shoes better. Plus, she lines up more with us regular folks playing the game, scrambling around chaotically — FBI agent style with some firepower skills. Makes more sense.
Also, not to jump around too much, but it’s playable both first and third-person. Capcom blabbed about how they noticed players tend to pick a view and stick with it. So, no surprise third-person DLC inspired this.
Mark your calendars, though, February 27, 2026. Requiem hits PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Man, who knows what’ll change by then? Anyway, there’s my messy take on it. Later!
