Oh man, can you feel the buzz? Borderlands 4 is almost here. The anticipation is like that time you know you’ve got ice cream waiting in the freezer, except, you know, with more guns and weird characters. So I was cruising through the trailers, and it hit me—this game’s going for a more serious vibe. Odd, right? But I’m into it. Like, Borderlands is known for its humor—some love it, some don’t, but dial it back a bit? Could be nice, or not, who can say?
And then there’s Claptrap. Ah, Claptrap. Love him or hate him, he’s back, but here’s the kicker: there’s a volume slider just for him. What? Like, a volume slider specifically because people find him annoying. It’s hilarious and weirdly practical? Just imagine it—you’re in the game, Claptrap starts yapping and you’re like, “Shhh, my friend.”
But hang on. Could this start something bigger? What if players want this for all the other characters they find annoying? Like Ava—she’s got a reputation too. Will this become a thing? Makes me think about the slippery slopes we’re on. Are the characters too much, or are they just right? Depends on who you ask, right?
Oh, quick side note: Is anyone else super curious about the price? It was rumored to be 80 bucks but turns out, it’s actually 70. Nice little surprise there!
But anyway, back to the characters. This whole volume control thing could get wild. Sure, it fits into the Borderlands humor like a glove, but is muting characters going to kill some of that charm? Or maybe make way for more fun? Gotta admit, it’s a toss-up. Could totally change the dynamics—or not.
And then we’ve got new Vault Hunters to check out: Vex, Rafa, Harlowe, and Amon. Seriously, that’s a crew to watch. How they’ll play into all this? I’m itching to know.
So Claptrap’s annoying, but it’s part of the gag now. He’s been in the game since forever, and maybe that slider is just a nod to his infamous charm—or lack thereof. Love-to-hate, they say. Will cranking down his voice become the norm? Honestly, that’s up to the players.
Either way, Borderlands 4 is dropping soon. It’s gonna be a ride, with or without Claptrap’s chatter. September 12 is gonna be one for the books, and hey, we’ll get to see this new cast take the stage.
Gear up.
