Bandai Namco’s Summer Showcase 2025 Airs This Week

Whoa, so here we go with another big splash from Bandai Namco. They’re throwing out this Summer Showcase shindig for 2025 — yeah, I know, already thinking about 2025, and I still haven’t figured out half of 2023. It’s all happening live and direct this week.

Catch this: they’re rolling at 12 pm PT. Or was it 3 pm ET? Ah, time zones — mind-boggling. Anyway, if you’re chilling in BST land, it’s 8 pm. And those in the CEST timezone? You’re looking at 9 pm. This is all going down on Wednesday, July 2. Mark those calendars or scribble it on your hand, whatever works.

Okay, here’s the kicker: They’re revealing a new game from My Hero Academia. I mean, imagine the quirks, right? But wait, there’s more! (I sound like a cheesy infomercial now.) We’re talking about Code Vein II, which I didn’t even finish the first one, oops. Death Note gets its own twist with Killer Within. And oh, Digimon Story Time Stranger is getting thrown into the mix. I’m here for the nostalgia trip. Does anyone else remember when Digimon ruled our Saturday mornings?

We’ve got Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots too. I wonder if it’s like regular golf but with more flair. Little Nightmares III is on board — yikes, not sure I’m ready to face those eerie vibes again. And what’s this? Patapon 1 + 2 Replay. Oh man, those little guys were my jam back in the day. So many buttons, so much percussion.

Let’s not forget Shadow Labyrinth, Super Robot Wars Y, and — drumroll — Tekken 8. Tekken’s like the comfort food of fighting games, right? Just the thought makes me want to button mash until my thumb falls off. There’s also The Blood of Dawnwalker, which sounds either epic or exhausting, and something called Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree. Trees need guarding, apparently.
