Sure, here’s a raw and unpolished version of the article:

Okay, so back in ’93, right? EA and FIFA hooked up for this Sega Genesis game—FIFA International Soccer. And man, it just blew up. Over 500,000 copies gone in, like, four weeks. Crazy! And yeah, sure, EA thought it’d do well because, duh, it’s got that FIFA branding. But even they were like, “Whoa.”
Anyway—so this game, it basically kicked off the whole FIFA video game thing. A freakin’ monster in the gaming world, just bulldozed everyone else. 325 million copies sold worldwide by 2021. Can you even imagine? But then, plot twist! In 2022, EA was like, “Bye, Felicia!” to FIFA for reasons I can’t wrap my head around. No more FIFA games from them. Sure, they’re still making soccer games, but, eh. The franchise is pretty much a ghost now. Although, there’s a chance FIFA’s name might pop up in other games, like this thing called Rematch. No clue, really.
So, Rematch, yeah, this non-EA game, kinda stepping up. I mean, ever since the old-school Sega days, real soccer games are scarce. You’ve got Konami’s PES, but truthfully, eFootball? Uh, it’s not exactly the fan-favorite these days. But Rematch? Oh boy, it’s doing alright.
Throwing a curveball, Sloclap—who? you ask—came out with Rematch. They’ve done stuff like Absolver and Sifu, which are all martial arts-y. But now, they went, bam, soccer! It’s all 5v5 with a funky art style. In third-person too. Just dropped recently, and yet, wow, one million copies sold faster than you can say “goal.” By June 25, 2025, they hit 3 million players. Dang.
Oh, side note, you can play it on Xbox Game Pass, so not everyone who’s tried it paid cash. Just saying.
So here’s a wild idea: what if Sloclap tossed some FIFA stuff into Rematch? I’m talking cosmetics. It’s not crazy, they’ve been doing collab stuff lately. Puma gear’s in, and some Marc-André ter Stegen skin—random, I know. Imagine buying a FIFA logo skin? People might scoff, I would, but I bet they’d sell like hotcakes. I mean, EA’s FIFA games were huge mostly because of that FIFA label. Over in Europe, FIFA basically means soccer. So, why not juice up Rematch with some FIFA collab mojo? Could be massive, especially since we might not see any FIFA games soon.
So there you go, Rematch. It might be the next big thing. Or maybe not. Who knows, right?
