The new Sims 4 expansion, Enchanted by Nature, kinda snuck up on us. Okay, maybe not “snuck” cuz Maxis and EA did the whole “big reveal” today, teasing us with a trailer. The full gameplay reveal is set for June 26. Mark your calendars. Or write it on your hand? Whatever works.
So, here’s the scoop: it’s the big kahuna since Businesses & Hobbies hit us in March. And yeah, nature’s the theme. Obviously, right? It’s in the name.
Alright, moving on—fairies are back! Yep, the mystical faves from Sims 3 are making a comeback. We all kinda knew that, didn’t we? I mean, EA wouldn’t tease fairies and then just… not? That’d be cruel. Simmers would riot, I’m telling you.
But here’s a twist—your Sims can go full-on wild child now. Think living-off-the-land sorta deal: foraging, bathing outdoors, counting stars instead of sheep. I love the idea, although I bet my Sims are gonna catch some weird new digital disease. No worries, though! They can whip up some old-school remedies. Apothecary vibes are in. Or is it crafting? Skill? Maybe a career? Let’s say possibly all of the above. More details incoming on June 26. Stay tuned, peeps.
Now, the setting: Innisgreen. It’s like someone took Ireland, tossed on a filter of folklore and fantasy. Aka Hobbiton dreams. Imagine living in charming treehouses — unless there’s some secret Irish headline I’ve missed? Real talk: there’s a neighborhood nodding to Cobh, County Cork with those iconic colorful houses. Someone get me a plane ticket.
Okay, focus, Enchanted by Nature’s just part of a bigger nature season for Sims 4. Nature’s Calling event kicks off June 24. Then, on July 1, expect new nature-y skins and customization options. July 10, ding, it’s expansion time!
The summer roadmap’s all laid out by Maxis (last week, I think). Big stuff’s brewing, with another juicy update on August 19.
Oh, and yeah, lock in June 26 for that gameplay deep dive. Not gonna wanna miss it.
