Marvel’s Retro Game Introduces Ultimate Thor and Non-MCU Silver Surfer

Those two new hotshots – honestly, I forget their names half the time – jump in with old faves like Cap, She-Hulk (she’s such a vibe, right?), Spidey, and the ever-angry Wolverine in this big ol’ Marvel Cosmic Invasion thing.

So, there’s this guy, Beta Ray Bill. Sounds like a tongue twister if you ask me. He’s like Thor’s cousin twice removed, but from another planet called… Korbinite? Yeah, that’s it. Picture Thor, but with a horse’s face and robot vibes. Seriously, he swings a hammer called, um, Stormbreaker. First popped up in some old Thor comic – issue 337 if you keep track of such things – thanks to this genius named Walt Simonson. Bill even once got to hold Mjolnir. Talk about credentials!

Oh, and tagging along with Bill this time is Silver Surfer. The dude’s got this radical surfboard and something called the Power Cosmic. Honestly, I have no clue what that even means, but it sounds epic. He’s taking on some bugs from outer space. Annihilus, they call them. Have no idea how to pronounce that, but whatever.

Anyway, they spilled the beans on the voice cast for Marvel Cosmic Invasion during San Diego Comic-Con. I’ve never been, but I hear it’s a zoo. Like, good luck getting any personal space.

Coming soon to just about every gaming system you can think of – Nintendo Switch, all those PlayStations, Windows PCs, Xbox whatsits. Probably out later this year. Or not. Dates change, right?
