What’s new on the Nintendo Switch eShop this week? As the countdown to the Switch 2 continues—just about seven weeks to go—there’s no slowing down in the influx of new games arriving on the current Switch platform. This week, one title that’s generating some buzz is the action-adventure game Star Overdrive.
In Star Overdrive, players take on an exhilarating journey across an alien landscape, sliding effortlessly on a hoverboard while solving riddles and engaging in combat with various foes. Crafted by the indie team at Caracal Games, which is comprised of a dozen creative minds, this isn’t their first foray into eShop releases. However, it marks their debut appearance in a Nintendo Direct presentation. Star Overdrive is brought to you by Plug In Digital, the same publisher that delivered the intriguing game Mindcop last year. With its blend of rapid action, platforming, and third-person gameplay, Star Overdrive is certainly one to keep an eye on.
In addition to gaming, there’s some fresh content for music lovers: the soundtrack from Luigi’s Mansion is now part of the Nintendo Music library. Plus, a range of popular games are seeing discounts this week, including fan favorites like Mario + Rabbids and South Park.
