Oh man, where to even start with this week’s wild ride on Steam? So, RimWorld — remember that game? It’s back and it’s got this new Odyssey DLC. I’m kind of baffled, but it leaped like 58 spots. Seriously, no kidding, it snagged the No.3 position. Apparently, a 20% discount helps. Who would’ve thought? Anyway, that Odyssey thing is itself sitting pretty in fifth place, given it just dropped on July 11th — a good day for gamers, I guess.
Of course, Counter-Strike 2 won’t budge from the top. Honestly, what does it have? Magic? And then PUBG: Battlegrounds got a boost up to second, thanks to some fancy K-pop Aespa crossover. Gotta love those unexpected alliances, right? Also, Valve’s Steam Deck — even tech stuff has its ups and downs — it slid down to fourth. Meanwhile, NetEase’s Marvel Rivals dramatically decided to get in on the action, climbing 25 spots to sixth with some fresh content released on the same magical July 11th.
Let’s talk indie games for a sec. Peak, which made over 4.5 million sales (not too shabby!), dipped to No.7. Destiny 2 gets a sneaky return at No.8 because of this new expansion, The Edge of Fate, and it came out July 15th. Timing is everything, huh? Then there’s Naraka: Bladepoint at ninth, and Dead by Daylight completes this rollercoaster ride by slipping to tenth.
And there it is, the infamous Steam Top Ten as of July 15th:
1. Counter-Strike 2, Valve
2. PUBG: Battlegrounds, Krafton
3. RimWorld, Ludeon Studios
4. Steam Deck, Valve
5. RimWorld – Odyssey, Ludeon Studios
6. Marvel Rivals, NetEase
7. Peak, Aggro Crab
8. Destiny 2, Bungie
9. Naraka: Bladepoint, NetEase
10. Dead by Daylight, Behaviour Interactive
These lists are like unpredictable weather — one day sunny, the next… who knows? Keep watching the skies, or the charts, or both.
